PROPERTY MANAGER NEEDED
We continue to look for a church Property Manager. This person coordinates maintenance and repair of
our building as well as the fall and spring yard clean-up with assistance from other parishioners or
professional contractors.
Duties:
- Maintain a list of property priorities to ensure we don't lose sight of work that needs to be done.
- Coordinate work parties or hire professionals as necessary to carry out those priorities within
the budget approved by Vestry.
- Advise the Corporation on budget requirements for carrying out work required.
- Contact contractors to obtain estimates and negotiate terms and prices.
- Review annual contracts for snow removal, cleaning, furnace maintenance, lawn mowing, etc) and
makes recommendations to the Corporation about the same.
The duties do NOT include:
- Looking after paper work pertaining to the maintenance, repair, safety (e.g., fire, etc.),
or administration (e.g., relations with the City, etc.) of the building. This will be completed
by the Corporation in consultation with the Property Manager.
- Responding to urgent calls... the Office Administrator will call contractors to respond to
urgent problems, such as plumbing leaks, electrical problems, roof leaks, etc. The property
manager would then take responsibility for following up and resolving the problem in the longer term.
- Getting involved in contracts or negotiations with, or accommodating requests from, groups
that rent space in the building. This is the responsibility of the Office Administrator.
